Community Collaborations

Crosstown participates in a collaborative partnership with the University of Oklahoma College of Pediatric Medicine and is a part of their rotation in child development. We are part of the Community Medicine Summer Institute through OU and we participate in the Growing Together Initiative. We also work with the senior nursing students at Oral Roberts University and host the students in our building for part of their required rotation. Additionally, we work with OU’s medical and physician assistant students and CAP’s Oklahoma Early Childhood Program.

In November 2011, Crosstown entered into a collaborative partnership with the State Department of Education, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, and SoonerStart. This program, Early Foundations, is a research-based program that serves children 20 months through four years of age that have been identified as possibly at risk for placement on the spectrum of autism.

In addition, students from Bishop Kelley High SchoolCascia Hall Preparatory School and Holland Hall School support Crosstown by helping with various projects throughout the year.

We are always looking for better ways to connect with our community. Please let us know if you have any ideas or want to play a role in Crosstown’s success by emailing Kathy Thompson.
